DEMI RETURNS TO NEW YORK
"NYC has always been dear to me ever since Danny T invited me out to play at Arc back in 2002. I've had some incredible opportunities to play AT MANY DIFFERENT VENUES across the world but nothing in my opinion has come close to the set-up at Love"
Demi returns to his exclusive quarterly residency (Lovedup) at New Yorkk's acclaimed Love club for his only solo US dates of 2007. Love inspires awed tones in any who've heard of it, and a glass-eyed look from those who've experienced it.
With a soundsystem like no other, Love is the kind of places DJ's want to go when they die. Designed by sound wizard Gary Stewart, everything from the DJ booth to the speakers has been custom built. Likened to the Pawnshop Lounge in Miami, the boutique venue's unique architecture includes a "fraggle rock" style chill-out area with dug out booths in the wall and a waterfall, making it a hedonistic playground.
Love inspired Demi to launch a residency there after a series of gigs that often ended late into the next day, still packed with crowds hungry to hear more. America was quick to embrace the young Londoner, from when DT called and requested him to paly a series of gigs at Arc, to the 1000 people locked-out mayhem of the SOS party at the WMC last year, US crowds and promoters have taken to his unique style of tripped-out Deep House and Techno in a big way.
