Dub War returns from last
month's roadblock to deliver a wicked concoction of three of
underground bass music's evil geniuses.
Skull Disco mastermind Shackleton returns to Dub War for a rare
appearance Stateside. In the 3 years since he first appeared at Dub
War, Shackleton has transcended his UK dubstep roots to reach deeper
into the soul of Berlin's techno scene. In the process he has
transformed his live set into a uniquely mesmerizing voodoo science.
Two San Francisco-based producers - Eskmo and Eprom - make their Dub
War debut as they celebrate a split 12" release on the mighty Warp
Records. Eskmo has recently been heralded by the likes of Brainfeeder
and Amon Tobin, and makes bass-heavy, off-kilter dubstep meets hip hop
beats. Eprom meanwhile occupies similar territory to artists like
Starkey and Rustie, who have redefined hip hop for the post-rave
generation. |
